This year also I participated
in ICES Cake Show and Competition and I got prizes for my two cakes in Carolinas cake decoration competition 2008. I entered
in wedding cake category this year and surprisingly I got Third place and I am so proud to have that. It was very hard competition
and mostly professional people always participate in this category.
My second cake was in Adult Advanced Category and got Second place in this category.
I got some nice comments from all Judges and one of the Judges was Food Network guy,
Yuhooooo!
Every year I am learning something new and trying to show everyone about Indian culture.
I made two sided wedding cake. One side was decorated like a Indian Wedding Sari and the other side was the Western Wedding
Gown.
Everything was edible.
It was fun to make this cake. I tried hard to decorate this cake neatly. And........I
am very happy and proud to get those prizes. Thanks to my family, friends and well wisher. Because of you all I did this confidently.
Thanks to my kids they always let me do my work quietly. And thanks to my husband for
encouraging me to participate and taking those cakes safely from home to the competition table way to the Charlotte. I really
couldn't do it without his great support and big help, I am so proud.
